The Department of Data Science comprises two engineering branches:
• B.Tech in CSE (Data Science)
• B.Tech in Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS)
These innovative undergraduate programs are designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in the data-driven world. Branch Establishment and Intake
• B.Tech CSE (Data Science): Established in 2020-21 with an initial intake of 60. The intake increased to 120 in 2022-23, 180 in 2023-24, and 210 in 2024-25.
• B.Tech CSBS: Established in 2020-21 with an initial intake of 60, which remains the same intake.
The department offers a unique combination of disciplines. The objective is to train students in both technical and business decision-making aspects, empowering them to solve complex business challenges through technology and data-driven insights.
The department emphasizes hands-on learning through internships, capstone projects, and industry collaborations, Hackathon, Certifications (CISCO, NPTEL, Infosys Springboard, IIT Bombay), Hands on workshop sessions.
The department boasts a team of well-qualified, experienced, and motivated faculty members. Students are motivated, industry-ready, and equipped with hands-on experience in current technologies and programming skills. Graduate students regularly secure top positions in their academics. And Most students are employed by core IT companies.
Faculty members have published research articles in SCI/Scopus indexed journals. The department organizes various professional development activities, Students participate in hackathons and presented their articles in various international conferences/ journals for publication.
